(WBTW) – A Socastee High School student allegedly made threats against the school on social media, according to school officials.
Horry County schools spokesperson Lisa Bourcier, said that the alleged threat was brought to the attention of Socastee High School administration. “The alleged threat is being investigated and schools officials have been in communication with local law enforcement and the student’s parents. Once the investigation has been concluded, the student will face appropriate disciplinary actions per school policy.” said Bourcier.
News13 reached out to Horry County Police Department spokesperson, Krystal Dotson who added that the student has not been arrested but is being charged with disturbing schools and has been served a juvenile summons.
