MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) A skateboarder is in the hospital with serious injuries after they were hit by a Horry County Police Officer Saturday morning.
Cpl. Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says the collision happened at 3:50 a.m. on US 17 near Queens Harbour Boulevard.
Collins said the skateboarder was in the roadway illegally and no charges are expected against the officer.
The crash is still under investigation to find out why the skateboarder was in the roadway.
