Several teens have been charged after an armed robbery on Bonnie Drive in Horry County.
Officers responded to a residence on Bonnie Drive in the Myrtle Beach area just before midnight on Thursday in reference to an armed robbery, according to an incident report from the Horry County Police Department. A 20-year-old male victim told police he was asked to come hangout at the residence. This victim and another victim told police they misunderstood the address.
When the victims and a witness pulled up to a residence on Bonnie Drive, a dark in color Dodge Caliber boxed them in the driveway, the report says. Six teenagers exited the vehicle and “began to kick the victims’ car.” One of the teenagers was seen on a Snapchat video “open hand striking” a victim in the face.
The teens “then went to the back of the victims’ car and opened the trunk,” according to the report. One of the teens was seen taking a shotgun and the teens then threw other belongings from the trunk into a drainage ditch. The victims were still in the car when the reportedly saw one of the suspects discharge a round into the rear driver’s side door.
The suspects are identified in the report as:
- Jeffrey Alfonso Rodriguez, 18, of the Myrtle Beach area
- Griffin Austin Fenters, 18, of the Lake City area
- Addison Duffy, 17, of the Murrells Inlet area
- Kvon Tyrese Lawhorn, 19, of the Myrtle Beach area
- Gabriela Giselle Andade-Aleman, 17, of the Myrtle Beach area
- 16-year-old juvenile
According to J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records, Rodriguez was booked around 8:15 a.m. on Monday and remains in the center. He is charged with three counts of attempted murder and no bail has been set.
Fenters was booked around 2 a.m. on Friday and released around 6:30 p.m. the same day, booking records show. He is charged with armed robbery and bail was set at $2,500.
Duffy was booked around 1:52 a.m. on Friday and released around 5:30 p.m. the same day. She is charged with armed robbery and bail was set at $10,000.
Andrade-Aleman was booked around 2 a.m. on Friday and released around 5:30 p.m. on the same day. She is charged with armed robbery and bail was set at $10,000.
Lawhorn was also booked around 2 a.m. on Friday and released around 11:45 a.m. on the same day. He is charged with armed robbery, unlawful carrying of a pistol (2 charges), and possession of cocaine (first offense). Bond was set at $2,500 for each of the three crimes for a total of $7,500.
The name of the juvenile suspect was not released.
