CONWAY, SC (WBTW) — Attorneys for Sidney Moorer have asked to delay his retrial for a charge in the Heather Elvis case, according to court documents filed Thursday.
The trial is set to begin on August 29.
Moore is charged with kidnapping in the disappearance of Heather Elvis. She was last seen in December 2013. Police believe she’s dead.
Moorer’s trial on that charge ended in June with a mistrial.
A judge will decide whether to delay Moorer’s retrial.
