Sidney Moorer will appear for a parole hearing in Columbia on Tuesday.

He will find out if he will be granted parole or not during the hearing.

He is currently serving a 10 year sentence for obstruction of justice.

A jury found Sidney Moorer guilty of obstruction of justice in August 2017 after the state claimed he stalled the Heather Elvis investigation by lying to police.

In June 2016, a mistrial was declared in Sidney Moorer’s kidnapping trial.

In October, a jury found Tammy Moorer guilty of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and kidnapping in Elvis’s disappearance. A judge sentenced her to 30 years on each charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
