New Directions for Men, Women, and Families will hold their 3nd Annual Compassion Through Fashion fundraiser Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 6pm – 9pm in the Atlantic Ballroom at Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort at Grande Dunes, 8400 Costa Verde Dr., Myrtle Beach, SC 29572. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. The Compassion Through Fashion event is a fun fashion show that will feature inventive, original fashion ensembles from local designers using recycled materials. Some of the materials to be used include plastic spoons, straws, LED lights, rubber gloves, puzzle pieces, and ping pong balls. This event will raise funds to assist New Directions provide food, shelter, safety and hope to homeless men, women, families with children, and veterans in Horry County. New Directions is a non-profit 501c3 organization that operates the four homeless shelters in Myrtle Beach. New Directions inspires and empowers homeless men, women, families with children, and veterans to make permanent positive changes in their lives in an effort to end their homelessness. “Funds raised from Compassion Through Fashion will not only provide basic needs of food, shelter, safety and hope, but will accelerate New Directions ‘Back to Life’ program, designed to help each of our clients work toward housing, reuniting with family, or going into long-term recovery.” said Kathy Jenkins, Executive Director.
