Police in Latta are investigating a shooting that occurred on Henry Street near the park on Saturday, where one man was shot,  according to Latta Police Chief Derrick Cartwright. 

On Sunday police arrested Taevon Bolt and charged him with attempted murder. He remains at the Dillon County Detention Center. 

At approximately 4:30 p.m. officers were called to the Henry St. Park on Saturday in reference to the shooting. Upon arrival, bystanders adviced of hearing shots in the area but did not see anything. 

Shortly after, Chief Cartwright says officers then recieved a call to the Quik Shop advising a gunshot victim was there. Upon arrival at the Quik Shop a male victim with gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. 

According to Chief Cartwright no suspect has been arrested but officers are looking for a person of interest and will release more information when available.
