The City of Conway, in association with the American Red Cross, will open a Warming Shelter on Tuesday morning as winter weather is forecast for some areas along the Grand Strand.
The shelter will be at old Fire Station #1, located at 307 Wright Boulevard in Conway.

The warming shelter will open at 7 am on Tuesday, Feb. 24, and remain open until Wednesday, Feb 25 at 10 am.
The Red Cross encourages anyone coming to a shelter to bring the following items for each member of their family: prescription and emergency medications, extra clothing, pillows, blankets, hygiene supplies, important documents and other comfort items.

It’s also important not to forget special items for children, such as diapers, formula and toys, and other items for family members who have unique needs.
You may bring personal hygiene items as needed.
Do not bring alcoholic beverages, weapons and pets to the shelter. Smoking will not be permitted inside the shelter. The shelter will be manned by Red Cross.
