PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC – (WBTW) – A Pawleys Island woman who police said flagged down a school bus last week and became unruly is now facing serious charges

According to a Georgetown Sheriff’s Department incident report, 29-year-old Amy Bauer flagged down a Georgetown County School District bus on the South Causeway just before 9:00 a.m February 4th.

The bus driver said Bauer jumped in front of the bus forcing him to stop. Once onboard, the driver said Bauer grabbed him and tried to bite him.

The driver then grabbed her and started fighting her, the report said. The driver was able to call the South Carolina Highway Patrol for help.

Once the trooper arrived, Bauer grabbed him in his crotch multiple times and tried to grab EMS workers as well, the report said.

Deputies were called, and transported Bauer to Waccamaw Community Hospital for evaluation by doctors.

Bauer now is charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct 2nd Degree, Disturbing Schools, Interfering with a School Bus, and Giving False Information to Police Officers.

Deputies report only the bus driver and one student were on board, and that student was not in any danger.
