CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTW) Selena Gomez is the latest entertainer responding to North Carolina’s transgender bathroom bill.

The singer says she is still planning on performing at her June 7th Concert at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte and will donate some of the proceeds to a local LGBT organization.

Gomez says she’s been reassured the venue has gender-neutral bathrooms.

“I want everyone coming to my show to be welcomed,” Gomez said.

Other artists including Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Star, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato and Maroon 5 have canceled shows in the Tar Heel state.

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed House Bill Two into law in March.  It bans people from using public bathrooms that do not correspond to their biological sex.  It also restricts cities from passing non-discrimination laws more broadly.
