LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW)- Southeastern Health will host a breast cancer awareness Hope, Faith, Courage event on Thursday, November 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton. The event was previously scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7.
The event will feature breast cancer awareness booths, entertainment and light refreshments. The event will also offer free breast exams by a mid-level provider on the Wellness on Wheels (W.O.W.) mobile unit which will be parked at the front of the mall. If the breast exam indicates that a mammogram is needed, immediate referrals will be made to Southeastern Radiology Associates.
Navigators will be on hand to file insurance or to determine alternate methods of payment through programs such as BCCC for those without insurance coverage for mammograms.
