LUMBERTON, NC –  The 88 golfers who played in Southeastern Health Foundation’s annual golf tournament will make it possible for local students to train for careers in health care.  Twentytwo teams competed in the 26th annual Swing for Good Health golf tournament held May 5 at Pinecrest Country Club.  The tournament was chaired by Ron Roach.

The event raised over $16,000 for the SeHealth Foundation, according to Foundation Executive Director Sissy Grantham.  Proceeds from the tournament will help fund academic scholarships for students who have chosen to study medicine, nursing or allied health and who plan to return to this community to practice.
