Second woman arrested in Socastee bank robbery

Horry County Police say they have found and detained a woman who was wanted in connection with an armed bank robbery in Socastee last week.

Stephanie Green, age 26, of Myrtle Beach, was involved in the March 10, robbery of the CresCom Bank at 4605 Socastee Boulevard, Horry County Police said.

For nearly a week, Green has been on the run, but was found in Marion County on Monday afternoon, said Lt. Raul Denis of the Horry County Police.

On Tuesday, Horry County Police Detectives arrested Lauren Yvonne Calloway, 25, of Surfside Beach in connection with the armed robbery.  Calloway has been charged with Bank Robbery, Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, and Kidnapping.

The armed robbery happened at 8 am last Tuesday morning and Green was carrying a handgun during the incident, according to an Horry County Police report.

The woemn ran from the bank after the incident, police said. Green was considered armed and dangerous and the public was warned not to approach her.

Green is currently in Marion County, but will be returned to Horry County for detention and future court matters, Denis said.
