LAURINBURG, N.C. (WBTW) – Students at Scotland High School will be released at 1 p.m. Friday, according to a message on the school district’s website.
Officials expect maintenance on the high school’s air conditioning system to be completed Friday. The maintenance coupled with expected warm temperatures expected Friday led officials to make the decision to ensure that students and staff have a safe and comfortable learning environment, according to the messages earlier this week.
District officials will continue to monitor the progress of the air conditioning maintenance and make further announcements as needed.
