During Governor Nikki Haley’s press conference Tuesday, she announced many South Carolina schools will be closed on Wednesday, October 4 due to the possible impacts from Hurricane Matthew this weekend.Schools in Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro and Williamsburg counties will be closed tomorrow.

The Carolina Academy in Lake City closed Thursday and Friday.

Coastal Carolina University says campus will be closed and classes will be canceled for the remainder of the week beginning at 8 p.m. tonight.

Coker College will be cancelling all classes Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 3:00 PM. The college will reopen on Monday, October 10.

Conway Christian School will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 5, Thursday, Oct. 6, and Friday, Oct. 7, 2016.

Emmanuel Christian School in Hartsville closed the remainder of the week.

FDTC will now close for all students, staff and faculty Wednesday, October 5, Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7, 2016.

Francis Marion University will be closed Wednesday-Friday (Oct. 5-7). All university events are canceled.

HGTC will be closed Oct. 5,6,7 following the governor’s declaration.  All classes will be cancelled and all campuses will be closed.

Miller-Motte Technical College in Conway is CLOSED for students, faculty, and staff on from Wednesday, October 5 through Sunday, October 9.

Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics will be closed the rest of week.

Robeson County Schools – Will be closing at 1 p.m. Friday

Sumter School District will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School in Darlington will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Virginia College in Florence will be closed Wednesday through Saturday of this week
