CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation says they plan to replace the bridge on Longs Avenue Extension over Crab Tree Swamp near Conway.
A press release from Kimberly Corley with the SCDOT says the bridge was rated as structurally deficient and will be replaced by Palmetto Infrastructure, Inc. The bridge will be closed on Oct. 10 and officials say it will reopen to traffic by Dec. 23, 2016 barring any unforeseen delays.
Traffic will be detoured along Country Club Drive and Sherwood Drive. The net detour length is 0.97 miles.
