COLUMBIA, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is asking for the public’s help with animal rescue supplies and volunteers in flooded areas.

Below is information posted on the “SCDNR Take One, Make One” Facebook page:

We are getting a few emails from some of our Tomo Parents wanting to know how they can help. We would like to encourage all of our participants to to find a way to give back. Animal shelters in flooded areas are in great need of medium or large dog crates, pet food, and volunteers. The crates help SCDNR transport animals safely. Any of our youth volunteering at a shelter we would love to share any pictures you have. Sharing this post is one of the best things you can do to help get the word out that the shelters need some help. “Taking Youth On Their First Hunt And Teaching Them Values That Last A Lifetime”.
