Atlanta Police are investigating a 2-year-old’s death, after the child was found dead in her mother’s arms after traveling from Greenville.
Police say that the mother, 19-year-old Alexis Washington had traveled to Atlanta from Greenville on a Greyhound Bus.
Washington was seen hysterical and upset near the Peters Street Bridge. Officers took the child to Hugh Spalding Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
A cause of death will be determined through an autopsy.
