SC woman has sex with child, gives him drugs and alcohol, deputies say

SPARTANBURG, S.C.  – A South Carolina woman is facing child sex charges, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Sandy Ruiz, 26, of Dillard Street in Arcadia has been arrested after having “carnal intercourse” with a child, deputies say.

She is also accused of giving the boy victim drugs and alcohol, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

WHNS-TV reported that the victim’s mother caught the suspect having sex with the boy during one incident on April 28.

An earlier incident happened in Jan. 2013, WHNS reported, citing a warrant obtained by the TV station.

Ruiz was arrested Saturday and charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
