GREENVILLE, SC – One person is dead after a three-car crash on White Horse Road.
Troopers say the crash happened around 4:38 p.m. Wednesday.
The coroner’s office says 19-year-old Cody Joseph Crocker died after he hit two vehicles.
The coroner says Crocker was driving south on White Horse Road when he crossed into oncoming lanes of traffic and was hit by a Ford Taurus and a Pontiac.
Crocker was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he died in surgery at 6:25 p.m., according to the coroner.
Troopers say the other two drivers involved in the crash were also taken to the hospital.
The Pontiac was driven by a Greenville teen, while a 22-year-old Greenville woman was behind the wheel of the Ford. Both women were trapped in their vehicles and had to be freed from the wreckage after the crash.
The case is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol and Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
