CHARLESTON, SC (WBTW) – A South Carolina school teacher was arrested Monday morning after police said they found several pounds of illegal drugs inside her home.
According to a Charleston County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Faith Jones-Paulus, 34, of Johns Island was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute within the proximity of a school and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
Deputies arrived at Jones-Paulus’ home after her husband was arrested for carrying a Tec-9 pistol illegally. Deputies said they smelled marijuana inside the home.
Deputies later found 7.2 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of nearly $26,000, the report said.
Jones-Paulus will have a bond hearing later on Monday.
