A South Carolina mother of four has died after crossing the finish line of a half-marathon. Multiple media outlets report 32-year-old Amanda Peake Glover died moments after completing the Palmetto Half Marathon in Columbia Saturday.

The Richland County Coroner’s office has yet to release any official findings on what caused Glover’s death. Her brother, Josh Peake, says she last month completed a full marathon.

Glover was one of more than 1,000 runners who finished the half marathon over the weekend and placed 133rd place for women in her age group with a time of 2 hours, 15 minutes.

She was a Property Manager for Peake Properties and co-owner of Fitness 535 in Elgin.

Glover was a member of Spears Creek Baptist Church where she taught AWANA, Cubbies Leader, sang in the choir, and worked in the nursery, according to her obituary. She was also a Girl Scout Leader.

“Amanda lived life loud and bold for her Lord Jesus Christ. A wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend, she leaves her husband of 9 years, Benjamin Walker Glover; four beautiful children,” her obituary said.

Glover ran the race with her husband, who was just four minutes behind her.

Memorials may be made to Spears Creek Baptist Church, Land Payoff, 116 Spears Creek Lane, Elgin, S.C. 29045.
