COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – Authorities are searching for a Richland County woman accused of making her children steal items from a store.
Local news outlets reported Monday that the Richland County Sheriff’s Department says that 27-year-old Ramanda McMillan instructed her three children, between the ages of six and 11, to steal several items from an Old Navy store on three separate occasions.
Deputies say McMillan told the children to walk into the store and leave with unpaid merchandise.
Investigators say the family walked away with almost $1,800 worth of items across the three incidents.
