GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) – Authorities say a man accused of pointing a gun at a customer inside a Walmart in Greenville is facing charges.

Media outlets report 21-year-old Caleb Detwan Harvell was arrested Tuesday and charged with shoplifting and breach of peace.

Authorities say deputies responded to the store around 5:30 p.m.

In a statement, deputies say the suspect had obtained a Crossman Pumpmaster air rifle that had been removed from its box, walked around the store and pointed the weapon at a customer in a “dangerous and threatening manner.”

An arrest warrant says a woman told deputies that the suspect made eye contact with her and leveled the rifle, pointing it directly at her face.

No injuries were reported.

Harvell was released on bond. It isn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
