SENECA, S.C. –  A man was arrested Tuesday evening after police say he dove through the drive-through window at a Hardee’s and assaulted a worker, holding her hostage.

Ninety Six Police Chief Chris Porter says Joshua Rose assaulted a manager at the restaurant and held her hostage inside of an office in the back.

Police officers were on the scene within minutes and broke through a window in the office to get to Rose and the woman.

Rose, the woman and the police officer who broke the window were all taken to the hospital for treatment. There were no life-threatening injuries.

Chief Porter says Rose took “a big hit of meth” before the incident occurred.

He’s now facing charges for kidnapping, assault and battery, among other charges.

Rose has a bond hearing at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood County.
