SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – A teacher at Byrnes High School has been arrested after police say she performed oral sex on a student.
Alexandra McClure, a Spanish teacher at the high school, is charged with 3 counts of sexual battery with a student.
Police say the incident happened in October of 2014 and the student was 16-years-old at the time.
According to the incident report, the student flirted with McClure and left his phone number for her.
The report goes on to say after texting and using Facetime, she performed oral sex on the student on three different occasions. The oral sex happened at the teacher’s house twice and once in a car after a High School football game.
Spartanburg School District 5 says the teacher resigned her position last Thursday.
According to her biography on the Spartanburg School District 5 website, McClure is a 2011 graduate of Clemson University.
McClure’s bond was set at $15,000 PR and if she’s found guilty, she could spend up to 15 years in prison.
McClure’s next court appearance will be May 19th.
