A man was arrested earlier this week after he was charged with criminal sexual misconduct with a minor while the suspect was a janitor.

Adam Thomas Manriquez, age 30, of Boiling Springs was arrested and charged late Tuesday night, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Manriquez was accused of sexual misconduct on two separate occasions with the same child in 2013 and 2014, according to deputies.

Cynthia Robinson, Chief Communications officer at Jesse S. Bobo Elementary school says Manriquez worked for the school as a janitor, but he no longer works there since the charges have brought on.

Manriquez is separated from his wife, who he was married to during the times of the alleged sexual misconduct, according to his Facebook profile.

Manriquez was being held without bond on Friday night, according to data from the Spartanburg County Jail.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department is investigating further into this case.
