ORANGEBURG, SC – An Orangeburg County school employee has been arrested for stealing from his place of work. Matthew Brunson, 25, of Bowman, has been charged with grand larceny in connection with the theft of several computers from Brookdale Elementary School.
According to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office, six computers were stolen, valued at $4,500 and Brunson wanted to sell them for cash.
Brunson admitted to the crime and turned in two of the computers himself.
On Monday, April 19, his bond was set at $5,000.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
