ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WBTW)- On Wednesday, S.C. Law Enforcement Division arrested and charged an Orangeburg County Deputy Sheriff for allegations that he forced a woman into performing a sex act.
Dereck Johnson, 35, was charged with Misconduct in Office and booked in the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center.
The arrest report says that Johnson responded to a call of a domestic dispute in June 2016 and while inside the residence and alone with the victim, he received oral sex.
Misconduct in Office is a common law violation and carries a punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
