The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 3-month-old girl.
The father of the baby, Quentico James Dunlap, age 22, was charged with murder by child abuse on Friday, according to deputies.
Deputies say the baby girl died of a head injury several days ago.
Dunlap is currently held in Greenwood County Detention Center. Deputies say a judge denied bond.
The baby who died, Takari Louise Dunlap was born on December 21, 2014 in Greenville, SC, the little girl’s obituary said.
Takari died on Friday, March 13, according to the obituary.
The father, Quentico Dunlap, works for the Sterilite Corporation and has another child, according to his Facebook page.
Since little Takari died, Dunlap appears to have posted 5 photos of the baby on his “timeline” — including one that says “My little angel.”
Greenwood County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are also investigating the case.
Private funeral services will be held, the obituary said.
