Family, friends, and other supporters will gather early Saturday for the funeral of Walter Scott.
It was one week ago when what started as a traffic stop turned into a deadly shooting. Former North Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager shot Walter Scott in the back.
WCBD in Charleston County reports the funeral will be at W.O.R.D. Ministries Christian Center in Summerville.
A viewing was held for Walter Scott Friday in Charleston. Mayor Joe Riley attended that visitation, saying the family was not there because they needed privacy.
The Associated Press reports the viewing included an open casket that was draped in an American flag and Dallas Cowboys item
The officer involved is now off the police force and is charged with murder.
Funeral is open to the public.
