MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) Saturday is National Free Comic Book Day across the country with shops all over South Carolina participating in the giveaway
XCON Comics on 807 Main Street in Myrtle Beach says they will open at 10 a.m. for the 15th year of the event that happens on the first Saturday in May each year.
“That was how I learned how to read,” comic book fan Ashley Cranford said. “Growing through my stages in my educational level I first learned how to read through a comic.”
Millions of comic books will be given away across the country. The day is a way to celebrate comic books and the small business comic shops across America.
