NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – North Myrtle Beach drivers should plan to take an alternate route in late January due to a continued sand fencing project causing part of the road to close, according to the City of North Myrtle Beach.
The installation of sand fencing will soon begin along areas of the beach where emergency beach renourishment and dune restoration projects were done, according to the City of North Myrtle Beach.
About half of the 18th Avenue North beach access will be closed beginning Jan. 26 or Jan. 29 to allow the contractor space to stage fencing materials, according to the City of North Myrtle Beach.
