MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 501 Wednesday night.
Lance Cpl. Judd Jones, with the SCHP, says the driver of a 2008 Dodge truck was traveling near Forestbrook Road when someone stepped into the road in front of the truck, killing him.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identified the victim as 45-year-old Anthony Lamonte Thompson of Salters.
The crash is currently under investigation.
