Runoff election for Aynor mayor announced after last election ends in a tie

AYNOR, SC (WBTW) – On Thursday tied election results were certified by Aynor officials and plans for a runoff election were announced.

Both candidates, John Gardner and Paul McCracken, are council members and received 75 votes in Tuesday’s election according to Tony Godsey of the Town of Aynor.

Godsey says the next election will be August 30 and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Aynor Town Hall on South Main Street.
