Ruiz Foods served up free lunches Monday for students at Johnsonville High School and Hannah-Pamplico High School in Florence County.
In addition to samples of the company’s El Monterey and Tornados products, the event featured pinata giveaways and Spanish lessons.
Similar events will happen at five other Florence County schools this week.
Ruiz Foods officials say the Florence County facility employs 250 people, and there are plans to hire several dozen more in the fall.
