FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities arrested a mother and daughter duo after a string of recent thefts from many stores in the Fayetteville area.

The daughter was nabbed after police say she robbed $5,000 worth of merchandise from Lowes, Target, CVS, Family Dollar, BJs, and Guitar Center.

The pair were caught when they tried to pawn a stolen guitar, police said.

Jami Jackson, age 28, of the 50 block of Kebbler Road in Parkton, and her mother, Tori Shouse, age 51, of the 3950 block of Chickenfoot Road in St. Pauls are facing various charges, according to Fayetteville Police.

The thefts from the various stores spanned from September 19, 2015 to January 10, 2016, police said.

Jackson is charged with Felony Larceny, Felony Possession of Stolen Goods, two (2) counts of Felony Conspiracy, eleven (11) counts of Misdemeanor Larceny, eleven (11) Counts of Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods, and five (5) counts of Misdemeanor Conspiracy.

She was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center where she remains on a $29,000 secured bond.

Tori Goutier Shouse is charged with Attempted Obtaining Property By False Pretenses and Felony Conspiracy.

Shouse was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center where she remains on a $3,000 secured bond.
