The Red Cross is not shutting down shelters in Robeson county despite rumors saying that they were.
County officials clarified some public misunderstandings in a press conference Saturday.
The Red Cross is intervening at shelters to assist and make sure they follow protocol.
Authorities suspect some confusion arose when people were relocated from some shelter locations because of flooding.
There are currently four open shelters in Robeson County housing total of 1,125 people.

St. Paul’s High School in St. Pauls
South Robeson High School in Rowland
