MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A robbery suspect is accused of holding a knife to the victim’s throat in Myrtle Beach.

According to an incident report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, it happened on Tuesday. The victim tells police he met the suspect on the beach.

That suspect was identified after being picked out of a police line-up by the victim. Harold Wayne Greer, Jr. is charged with robbery/armed robbery, robbery while armed or allegedly armed.

The victim told police he and Greer had been “hanging out on the beach” when Greer offered him a place to stay for the night. The victim agreed to go with him. After leaving the beach, the victim and Greer went to a convenience store, then the Myrtle Beach train depot, according to the incident report. That’s when the victim told police Greer grabbed him by the shirt, pulled out a pocket knife and held it to his neck and demanded money.

According to the report, the victim gave Greer a bag of money. The suspect picked Greer out of a police lineup as the suspect.
