Myrtle Beach, SC (WBTW) – A pair of long time athletic directors are both retiring effective this month. St James AD Paula Lee and Hartsville AD Phyllis Griggs.
Lee has been involved with Horry County schools for over 30 years. The Murrells Inlet native began her career at Socastee High School working the PE department before coming over to the Sharks in 2004 as the AD.
Griggs is a Hartsville native and a Red Fox graduate. She has worked in the district for 38 years as a teacher, coach, and athletic director. The softball complex was named after her this season. Griggs has served as the AD since 2005.
