With a recent stream of violent crime across Horry County some Horry County residents have taken to twitter to express fear and a need for prayer for the community.
Conway High School senior Zoe Lewis says one of the recent incidents happened near her home. She was one of many who tweeted on Wednesday night during a man hunt.
“I think that Horry County does need prayer, I think adults need to step up and be more of role models to us so the younger generation can know right from wrong.” Lewis said.
She thinks those committing the crimes need to know the impact they are having on young people and a community.

Captain John Harrelson with the Horry County Police Department says right now they have 15 sworn officer vacancies, but they are using every bit of man power they have to track down suspects that are still on the loose.
“State, local, federal, our detectives in the major crime unit, homicide and robbery and also the SVU unit, property crimes is assisting, we are pulling our resources from everywhere we have it to hold these offenders accountable.” Harrelson said.
