CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – People who live near the Waccamaw River have received code red warnings about rising water levels.
Le Hendrick with Conway Fire says they have rescued people from 13 homes today alone.
According to Hendrick, 16 homes were self-evacuated and 44 homes were unoccupied when officials went to check.
Thirty seven more homes were occupied and residents had no plans to evacuate.
