Every mom and dad wants a safe sitter for their children.
And to be sure that young people are prepared with life and safety skills when taking care of infants and children, Tidelands Health is offering the Safe Sitter program this summer.
Safe Sitter classes are scheduled for June 24-25 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital and July 8-9 at Wachesaw Conference Center. Classes at both locations will be from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Designed for boys and girls 11 and up, the program teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergencies.
The fee is $50. Call 843-520-8490 to register.
The Wachesaw Conference Center is located at 4367 Riverwood Drive across from Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. The Tidelands Georgetown classes will be held in the education building, located behind the hospital.
