Red Bone Alley announces expansion, new jobs

COLUMBIA, S.C.(Press Release) – Red Bone Alley Foods, LLC, a company that provides fresh and innovative South Carolina regional cuisine is expanding its operations in Florence County. The $3.5 million investment will establish sauce, marinade and spice production manufacturing operations, creating an expected 45 new jobs in Florence, S.C.

Established in 1993 with the opening of the Redbone Alley Restaurant & Bar in Florence, S.C., Red Bone Alley Foods has grown tremendously. More than just a restaurant, the company developed into a provider of food products sold in grocery outlets nationwide. In fact, the Red Bone Alley’s brand is marketed in more than 5,000 retail locations across all 50 states.

The company’s new Florence County facility, a 15,000-square-foot building located at 198 NB Baroody Street in Florence, will focus on the production of sauces, marinades and spices. Previously, the company manufactured these products at facilities in Texas and California.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $450,000 set aside grant to Florence County to assist with the cost of real property improvements related to the project.
