A record number of people attended the 34th annual Little River Blue Crab Festival this year.
There were arts and crafts, food, music, community groups and 325 different vendors and 53 sponsors participating this year.
Organizers say nice weather over the weekend brought big crowds out to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
“It has a long tradition in our community, our parents and children are now grandparents and parents, and we bring our kids and we just keep coming back, so it’s multi-generation fun for the whole family,” said Jennifer Walters of the Little River Chamber of Commerce.
Event organizers say this years festival brought in more than 40,000 people to the Little River Waterfront.
