The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Johnsonville is recalling more than 48,000 pounds of its frozen bacon and cheddar pork patties.
According to a CNN report, the USDA received at least three complaints that the pork patties were possibly contaminated with black rubber.
There have been no reports of illnesses or injuries with the products.
According to the report, the recall involves the patties produced and packaged on Sept. 27, Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 of 2018.
The packages have the establishment number — 34225 — printed on the carton under the “best flavor by” date.
Perdue Foods also announced a national recall of more than 68,000 pounds of chicken nuggets.
Company officials said the chicken nuggets may be contaminated with wood pieces.
The company was notified of the possible contamination after consumer complaints were filed.
There have been no reports of illness from the alleged contamination.
The product, which is a gluten-free, have an Oct. 25, 2019 expiration date.
