MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Pulse Ultra Club held two moments of silence Sunday to honor the victims of the shooting at Pulse in Orlando.

The first took place at 6:00pm as the city of Orlando held its vigil on Sunday. A small gathering of people at the club watched the event unfold on national television. A second larger vigil is planned for 11:00pm.

Pulse Ultra Club, also a gay club, is not associated with Pulse in Orlando, but organizers say the vigils were an act of solidarity with the victims and larger LGBT community.

“If you’re gay your part of this family. It’s all about that. It doesn’t matter who you know, just like with any other shooting they all come together, we do the same thing,” said Randy Amore who works at Pulse Ultra Club.

Employees of the pulse ultra club say they will be stepping up they’re security at door checks as a precaution following the tragedy in Orlando.
