BELTON-HONEA PATH (WBTW) – St. James lost 5-0 to Belton-Honea Path in Game 2 of the 3A Title Series on Monday night, bring their season to an end.

St. James lost 1-0 to the Bears last Thursday on the Sharks’ home field. That set up a must-win situation at the Bears’ home field on Monday night. But once again, the Sharks were shut out.

Clemson commit Blake Holliday pitched a complete game for Belton-Honea Path. He struck out 14 Sharks hitters.

The Bears’ title is their 5th state title in school history and their second in a row.

In other prep playoff news, Hartsville softball lost to Union County 6-3 at the Yellow Jackets’ home field. The deciding game for the 3A Title will be tomorrow at Irmo at 6 p.m.
