DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A traffic stop on I-20 in Darlington Tuesday evening led to the discover of drugs and numerous stolen credit cards.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office reports agents with the special enforcement unit stopped a car traveling east on I-20 Tuesday evening. During the stop, agents found marijuana, 12 credit cards with stolen account numbers, 20 credit cards with no embossed numbers on them and over $2,600 in prepaid cards. All of the items were seized.
Twelve of the credit cards were embossed with stolen credit card numbers, and the name of the suspect, Daniel Paul Sang, was also embossed on the cards.
Sang, 27, of Irmo, was charged with financial transaction card fraud, financial transaction card forgery and simple possession of marijuana. This is an ongoing investigation, according to the sheriff’s office, and additional arrest or charges could be forthcoming.
