CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Four people have been arrested after a meth lab was reported near Conway Elementary School.

According to the incident report, Conway police responded to a home on Causey Street Dec. 8 to assist with code enforcement. The report says while Code Enforcement spoke to the homeowner about the home not having power, officers observed syringes in the home in plain view.

While searching the home, officers found items they say are precursors for a meth lab and substances that tested positive for methamphetamine.

The report says police confirmed that all the items needed to manufacture meth were present and that investigators believe police caught them just before it became an active lab.

The home was located less than half a mile from Conway Elementary School, the report says.

Kenneth Shawn Brown, 49, Crystal Dawn Holt, 36, and Lacy Nicole Larson, 47, and Kevin Robert Oslin, 36, were arrested and transported to the Horry County Detention Center.

Booking records from J Reuben Long Detention Center say Brown, Holt and Larson were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing with intent to distribute crack cocaine and distributing/sell/purchasing or manufacturing drugs near a school. Brown and Larson were also charged with theft of electric current.

Oslin was charged with manufacturing with intent to distribute crack cocaine, unlawful to advertise/possess paraphernalia  and selling/purchasing or manufacturing drugs near a school, records say.
